TSA Inaugural Charity Golf Day 2018

27th September 2018 by Megan Reece

Picture the scene: Monday, September 10th, 2018. Hallamshire Golf Course – a club and course with rich history and beautiful surroundings. This stunning setting played host to our inaugural charity golf day, and we are delighted beyond words to announce that the day was a huge success.

As with any event, there was a massive amount of effort and planning that went in, with all members of staff at TSA playing a crucial part. So first, we would like to credit all who helped make the day possible – without them, this day wouldn’t have gone ahead at all.

Our charity of choice was Mind. This phenomenal organisation was set out with the agenda that no one should face mental health problems alone. Something that we here at TSA are incredibly passionate about, given the industry that we primarily focus on being construction and the recent figures showing high rates of suicide, we felt that Mind were the perfect choice for us to help raise funds for.

Overall, we raised a whopping £1500 in total, so to say we are pleased would be the understatement of the year. This money will go towards helping Mind provide crucial support to those who need it most, and none of it would have been possible without the kind donations from those who attended our golf day. So on behalf of TSA and Mind – thank you.

Of course, there was an element of competitiveness in the day – there always is within the recruitment sector! We’re pleased to announce that the winning team consisted of David Armitage, Simon Ingham, Ged O’Reilly and Alex Veil. Our very own Tiger Woods, (Mr Veil), also took home ‘The Longest Drive’. Simon Ingham had further success on the day with ‘Closest to the Pin’!

But although we are all competitive, this day and many others like it were about more than that. It was about giving back, building relationships and stepping out of the norm – which is what we as a business are all about.

So once again, thank you, to all those who helped make this day possible and allowed us to do this. Keep your eyes peeled as we’re planning something even bigger for next year!
