Are you an experienced Process Engineer in the water industry looking for a new challenge within the Scottish Water SR21 framework?


My client are a Tier 1 national contractor who deliver civil and meica turnkey solutions across multiple UK water frameworks. They are seeking a Senior Process Engineer on a permanent basis to work on a successful joint venture on the Scottish Water SR21 programme. This programme of works will be worth £700m over the next 6 years and our client will be delivering schemes from outline design through to commissioning and handover. Based from their offices in Glasgow, the main duties include;

  • Report to the Principal Process Engineer to coordinate process design documents
  • Produce process designs that meet the required health and safety requirements and contract specifications
  • Oversee technical aspects of multiple projects, producing process designs that are cost effective and that can be delivered successfully on site
  • Deliver design solutions that consider cost of materials, time, build costs and consider the impact on other design disciplines within the team
  • Assist the team Design Manager in updating and monitoring procedures to ensure efficiency within the department
  • Liaise closely with other disciplines within the design team as well as external stakeholders to ensure coordination to benefit the contract
  • Help senior management to instill a culture of customer satisfaction and ensure that everyone benefits from the processes in place


Experience required;

  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering
  • Extensive experience of water or wastewater process design
  • Proven track record of developing process design/mass balance
  • Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic process designs
