Duties include;
- Liaise with the client to understand project requirements and manage electrical packages of works on assigned projects
- Work closely with other disciplines including mechanical, process and civil design teams
- Produce monthly progress reports
- Subcontractor management throughout entire design and build programme
- Ensure all enquiries meet the client’s specification and British Standards
- Monitoring and tracking of change control
- Design documentation reviews with internal and client teams
- Temporary works design requirements
- Liaise closely with the Planner to create a baseline programme and track progress throughout all phases of the scheme
- Produce weekly and monthly reports
- Liaise closely with subcontractors to ensure that their design deliverables meet the agreed programme
- Monitor subcontractor performance
- Chair client collaboration meetings
- Provide inputs to the Project Management plan
- Produce and review subcontractor enquiry forms
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 10 years electrical design experience within the UK water industry
- Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage large schemes circa £20m as well as multiple smaller schemes as required
- Degree qualified or HNC/ ONC/ NVQ equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer or working towards would be preferred
