Tuesday 26th June 2018 saw two of TSA’s finest take to the course in aid of the Northern charity golf day. Senior Recruitment Consultant Alex Veil and Strategic Business Manager Matthew Steptoe headed to Rudding Park in Harrogate, and it was set to be a scorcher!
The event, supported by TSA, takes place every year and is one of the most popular events in the North Region calendar. Each time a different charity is chosen and this year was the turn of Shelter and Prostate Cancer UK. Two incredibly important organisations, both for very different reasons.
If you’re not familiar with either then allow me to explain what it is they do and why Team TSA are so passionate to support such a crucial day..
Shelter are a UK based charity who help those most vulnerable, who are either struggling with bad housing or homelessness. They offer life-changing advice, support and legal services to people who are deprived of the basics.
Prostate Cancer UK have one important message; they aim to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through charitable funding, they work with shifting science to improve diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support.
Our goal was simple: raise as much money and awareness as possible; and that we did. The team helped contribute to a whopping £701.82, a fantastic result for all involved!
TSA believe that our activities should have a positive impact on people. We believe that our success as specialist recruiters provides us with a unique platform to increase social responsibility, both externally within the industry and internally, ethically as a team. That’s why we will always strive to do our best in supporting a variety of causes, because we believe that adding value to people really does matter. Because in our mind, people should always come before profit.
With that in mind, we can’t wait to participate again next year and to hopefully contribute to raising even more funds for amazing causes!
